Slovakia is the heart and centre of Europe, having a stone marking its geographical centre nearby the ancient Church of St. John the Baptist in Central Slovakia.
Here you can find amazing cities, nature, spas, caves, castles and UNESCO sites. It is said that there are more castles per citizen than any other place in the world. If you prefer nature, there are nine national parks to visit, amongst them, Slovak Paradise, as well as forests and mountains, the most famous being Vysoké Tatry (High Tatras).
If you are looking for adventure, you can visit the largest karst area in Central Europe with more than 6,000 caves, or opt for enjoying the view of glacial lakes and mountain peaks. There are more than 14,000 km of marked hiking trails and 10,000 km of marked bike ones, so you will not get lost.
Thousands of years ago, Slovakia experience a lot of volcanic activity, which left behind a wonderful series of hot springs, that can be explored all throughout the year. Spas and water parks offer a range of activities and easy access to these warm and relaxing waters.
Apart from the beautiful nature and rich history, in Slovakia you can also visit historical or modern cities, such as Kosice, where tourists can stroll along the city centre streets, while stopping for a coffee and cake in one of the cosy cafes in the area. If you do not fancy cake, there are plenty of wines and beers to choose from.
With Experience Slovakia, you will be able to join a diverse range of tours, or design trips according to your preferences. We want you to experience something new and have a great time in Slovakia.
